I've been at a loss of what kind of pattern I want to carve our pumpkin this year for Halloween. It's almost here! We got this gorgeous, big pumpkin yesterday and I can't wait to carve it and put it out on the porch. We have a tradition of baking the pumpkin seeds afterward too. While I was looking up patterns online, I found
this really cool photo editorial of some really awesome pumpkin carvings. I wish I were able to do that, but I don't have a steady hand, and I'm only armed with a butcher knife. (What kind of idiot let me handle a butcher knife by myself anyway?)
I really wanted a Karen Cooper (Night of the Living Dead) pumpkin, but we're not pros. Who knows though, we might end up trying to attempt it anyway. There's a nice pattern at
ZombiePumpkins, but I don't have the money to pay for it.
Two cool Karen pumpkins I found (the 2nd one is obviously far more advanced than I'm even willing to attempt, but worth mentioning nonetheless):
Edit: We ended up carving
this pattern. It's the pumpkin that appears on the porch in the original Halloween film. Wahooo!
